What date is Good Friday and Easter Sunday?

Make plans for the Easter weekend in 2022, which includes the Good Friday bank holiday (15 April), Easter Sunday (17 April) and Easter Monday bank holiday (18 April).

Easter opening hours and transport in London

Good Friday and Easter Monday are both public holidays. Usually, most attractions are open over the Easter bank holiday, but you’re advised to check with individual venues in advance; particularly to find what is open on Easter Sunday in London.

Public transport services, including the London Underground, may be reduced between Good Friday and Easter Monday. If you live in London, plan your journey in advance on the TfL website and cycle or walk where possible.

Golden Ridge Animal Farm Easter Egg Hunt, Dural

Glenworth Valley Great Easter Egg Hunt

EasterFeast Night Market, Mosman

Mosman’s EasterFeast Night Market is a celebration of the tastes and flavours of Easter. The market features artisan stalls, gourmet food and beverages, Easter delights and so much more. Wander through the Village Green which will come alive after dark with fairy lighting and ambient music. It’s the perfect place to unwind as you take in the atmosphere this boutique experience delivers.

Easter High Tea & Family Easter Fun Day, Norths Cammeray

Bring the kids for a day of fun at Norths on Easter Saturday! Get excited for the Easter Bunny’s arrival by bringing the kids to watch ‘Hop’ in the Auditorium at 2pm.

Meet the Easter Bunny and his helper after the movie. There will an opportunity to get pictures with the Bunny.

Then, celebrate Easter this year with an Easter High Tea on Sunday 17 April. A scrumptious selection of finger sandwiches, warm savouries, scones and sweet selection. Egg-cellent Easter, Centennial Parklands

Centennial Parklands is holding an egg-stra special Easter event in 2022! Children are introduced to the story of the Easter Bilby and their very special promotion to Australia’s Easter mascot. Children engage in nature-based games and art projects celebrating Australia’s native plants and animals, follow trail maps, overcome challenges and connect with the natural world and their community!

Each ticket includes participation for one child and one carer, plenty of Easter activities, including make your own Easter Bilby ears, create an Easter egg gallery, make your very own seed eggs, and traditional Easter games.

Easter at Bridgeview Hotel

Bring the kids down for their Family Day in the Carpark between 12-3pm on Easter Monday for an afternoon brimming with excitement. Sydney Royal Easter Show

Sydney Royal Easter Show is back and is undoubtedly the biggest and most exciting event that comes to Sydney every year… and it’s returning in 2022 from Friday 8 April – Tuesday 19 April. With fun carnival rides for kids of all ages, hundreds of showbags to choose from, animal encounters, live shows, fireworks and so much more, it’s an incredible day out!

Sydney Family Show

Sydney’s best value Family Show will return to the Entertainment Quarter in Moore Park from April 9 to 25. Whether it’s a bunny hopping competition, throwing a line in, cuddling a lizard, carnival rides or showbags, this year’s show is packed with entertainment for the whole family.

Entry to the Show includes a massive range of free activities including access to the Reptile Show, the bunny hopping competition on Good Friday, a daily stage show, plus two hours of free parking.

Thrill-seekers will flock to adrenaline-fuelled carnival rides such as the Super Sizzler and YoYo while the more sedate Classic Carousel and dodgem cars will also bring delight. Two-hour unlimited ride sessions are excellent value at only $30 per person, with an option to also purchase individual ride tickets.

West Ryde Easter Celebrations

There will two events as part of the 2022 West Ryde Easter Celebrations. Join the Kids Easter Concert from 10am-12pm on Saturday 9 April, as Alice, the crazy Mad Hatter and the Easter Bunny as they take us on a magical adventure through song and dance. There’s also an Easter bonnet competition, colouring in competition and the West Ryde Easter Singing competition will then take place from 12.30pm-3pm, with plenty of prizes to be won. Register for 14 years and under, or 15 years and over.

Secure your $20 (+ booking fee) all rides wristband and receive a free Easter show bag (available for the first 500 ride wrist bands purchased).
